Emily, better known as Vanillamace on her socials, has been absolutely blowing up everywhere. She's gone from celebrating her 1 million follower mark on TikTok in May 2025 to celebrating 3 million followers a month later. Vanilla has been posting seriously for a year now, but it's only recently that she's been skyrocketing on the charts. This rise to fame can all be traced down to one... single... video.

On April 14th, 2025, Vanillamace posted a video to her TikTok in an incident we're calling- The Christmas Tree of Pain and Despair. Inspired by her description of the video, "The Popmart trip of unimaginable pain and despair," this Christmas tree incident quickly rose in popularity for Miss Vanilla, sitting at 15.1 million views at the time of posting this article. She's had more popular videos previously, but this was the one that seemed to catch viewers' attention and make her everyone's newest addiction.

In the video, Vanilla goes to Popmart in the hopes of finding some blind boxes to sink her teeth into. She ends up leaving with her new purchases and immediately heads to her car to tear them open. As she's showing us the options for the SkullPanda blind box, Vanilla states, "I'll be happy with any of them except that f***a** Christmas tree. I don't like that one." The universe really does have a wicked sense of humor, because wouldn't you know it? She pulled none other than her very own darling Christmas tree. Viewers are left laughing as she looks off in misery and eventually begins to rage in frustration over the prize. After a long rant, Vanilla decides to head back into the store for another blind box, not yet satisfied with her pull. Now back in her car, she stresses about what her new prize will be from the new box, adding, "But it's okay, what are the odds I get the same one twice?" Cue the audio clip, "It was in this moment she knew, she f-ed up." Little Miss Christmas tree decides to make yet another appearance, and Vanilla ends the video after a long silence.

This TikTok drew people in with the promise of a blind box, a trendy obsession many have had for a few years now, and by the time viewers finished the video, they were hooked deep by Vanilla's relatable reactions, her humor, and her charm. Many in the comments related to her disappointment and poked fun at her luck with one reading,

"Please don't buy a lottery ticket."

Since this dark day in Vanilla's life, she's continued to grow her fanbase on numerous platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch. Her main platform, surprisingly, is Twitch, where she streams every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 6 PM EST. Although her audience on there isn't quite as large as her TikTok, she enjoys streaming herself playing games and communicating with her audience through that medium.

Vanilla is quickly becoming everyone's bestie, with many comparing her to one of YouTube's finest and dearly missed creators, Jenna Marbles. With the internet so chock-full of pristine, seemingly perfect creators, Vanilla is a huge breath of fresh air. Her relatability and personality are so refreshing; it's no wonder we've all fallen in love with her.
